Outdoor Protection Can Trap Heat and Moisture
Sealed telecom enclosures protect network electronics from rain and dust, but continuous equipment heat, solar exposure and temperature changes can create overheating or condensation risks.
GX-BOX Solution:We coordinates the sealed enclosure structure with sun shields, internal equipment zones and prepared interfaces for customer-specified fans, heat exchangers, air conditioners, heaters or thermostats.
Outdoor Coating Failure Begins with Poor Surface Preparation
Cut edges, welded joints, ground areas and bends may become the first points of coating failure on an outdoor enclosure. Exposed aluminum can oxidize, while galvanized steel may develop red rust once the powder layer and local zinc protection are no longer sufficient.
GX-BOX Solution:Surface treatment is matched to the base material. Aluminum is mechanically roughened before powder coating to improve the bonding profile. Galvanized steel enclosures undergo pickling and phosphating pretreatment after fabrication, with special attention to cut edges, welds and bends. Electrostatic powder coating then forms the outer protective barrier, creating a layered system for improved coating adhesion and outdoor corrosion resistance.
Aluminum Welding Must Preserve Strength and Environmental Sealing
Aluminum is lightweight and helps spread heat from continuously operating surveillance equipment, but thin aluminum sheet is difficult to weld consistently. It conducts heat away from the weld quickly while melting at a relatively low temperature. Too little heat can cause incomplete fusion, while excessive heat can rapidly lead to burn-through, holes or cabinet distortion.
GX-BOX Solution:We uses experienced aluminum welders, controlled argon-arc welding, fixture positioning and planned welding sequences to manage heat input and distortion. Load-bearing areas are reinforced around the equipment layout, while weld continuity, cabinet squareness, door-frame flatness and door gaps are checked before final grinding and finishing. This preserves the weight and heat-spreading advantages of aluminum without sacrificing structural strength or sealing stability.
