Quality Verified of Enclosures

Incoming Material Verification

Before production, incoming metal sheets are checked with a material identification test solution to verify that the supplied material matches the required grade before cutting and fabrication, reducing the risk of using incorrect stainless steel or mismatched material.
Incoming Material Verification

IPX6 Water Ingress Test

Enclosures are subjected to IPX6 water-jet testing, focusing on door gaskets, welded joints and other potential leakage paths. After testing, there must be no harmful water ingress that could compromise the enclosed equipment

Powder Coating Thickness Test

Powder-coated surfaces are measured at multiple points to maintain a coating thickness of approximately 80–120 μm, helping provide consistent coverage and improved resistance to outdoor corrosion and surface wear.
Powder Coating Thickness Test

Paint Film Impact Resistance Test

The powder-coated surface is tested with a paint film impact tester using a 1,000 g hammer dropped from 40 cm. The coating is inspected after impact to confirm no visible cracking, peeling or separation.

Cross-Cut Coating Adhesion Test

After powder coating, the surface is cross-cut and tape-tested to check whether the coating separates or peels from the metal substrate, helping verify coating adhesion before shipment.

Door Seal Pull-Force Check

A paper strip is clamped between the door gasket and enclosure edge, then pulled with a force gauge. A pull force of approximately 28 N or higher is used to check consistent gasket contact and door sealing pressure around the enclosure.

IP6X Dust Ingress Test

Enclosures are tested to IP6X dust-protection requirements to verify the integrity of door seals, joints and enclosure interfaces. The acceptance objective is no dust ingress into the enclosure after the specified dust exposure test.

Materials Selected for the Environment They Face

Material choice affects more than enclosure cost. Corrosion exposure, weight, heat dissipation and surface durability all influence the final design. We manufacture in stainless steel, aluminum and coated steel to suit different operating conditions.

Stainless Steel 316 – For Coastal & Corrosive Environments

Preferred for chloride-rich, coastal, marine and other corrosive environments where long-term corrosion resistance is critical. Available for custom outdoor enclosures, cabinets and project-specific structures.

Stainless Steel 304 – For General Industrial Protection

A practical choice for industrial, washdown and humid environments where corrosion resistance is required without the higher chloride exposure associated with coastal or marine sites.

Aluminum - For Weight & Thermal Considerations

Suitable for outdoor equipment where lower weight and heat dissipation are important, including telecom, monitoring and field-mounted enclosures. Surface treatment and hardware can be specified for the actual exposure conditions.

Galvanized Steel - For Cost-Controlled Industrial Projects

Powder-coated mild or galvanized steel provides a cost-effective option for general industrial and protected outdoor installations where surface preparation and coating quality are properly controlled.

Metal Electrical Enclosures FAQs

Metal electrical enclosures provide a durable, customizable, and reliable solution for protecting electrical components across industrial, commercial, and automation applications.
  • Can metal electrical enclosures protect equipment from dust and moisture?

Yes. Properly designed metal electrical enclosures can help protect internal electrical components from dust, moisture, and other environmental factors. The appropriate enclosure protection level should be selected according to the installation environment.
  • How long do metal electrical enclosures typically last?

With proper material selection, surface treatment, installation, and maintenance, metal electrical enclosures can provide reliable service for many years. Stainless steel and corrosion-resistant finishes are particularly suitable for demanding environments.
  • Can the enclosure size be customized?

Yes. Manufacturers can customize the length, width, height, material thickness, mounting holes, cable openings, and internal layout according to customer drawings or project requirements.
  • Are metal electrical enclosures suitable for industrial automation?

Yes. They are widely used for PLC systems, control panels, electrical distribution equipment, machinery, automation systems, and other industrial applications requiring reliable equipment protection.
  • What is the advantage of metal enclosures over plastic enclosures?

Metal enclosures generally offer higher mechanical strength, better impact resistance, and greater durability. They are particularly suitable for industrial environments where equipment may be exposed to mechanical stress.
  • Can metal electrical enclosures be manufactured with different finishes?

Yes. Powder coating, painting, galvanizing, and other surface treatments can be selected according to the required appearance, corrosion resistance, and application environment.
