Electrical Enclosures for Wastewater Treatment

Electrical Enclosures for Wastewater Treatment
GX-BOX manufactures custom wastewater control enclosures for pump control, dosing, filtration, instrumentation and monitoring equipment used in wastewater treatment facilities. Based on customer drawings and equipment layouts, we optimize enclosure materials, moisture control, HMI interfaces and cable-entry structures for wet, humid and corrosive operating environments.

More Coating Can Mean Less Protection If the Layers Do Not Bond

Heavy coating specifications do not automatically improve corrosion resistance. Repeated thick powder layers can develop poor intercoat adhesion if the coating chemistry and curing process are not designed as one compatible system.

GX-BOX Solution:For demanding oil and gas electrical enclosures, GX-BOX can use a compatible epoxy primer beneath a pure polyester outdoor topcoat. The primer supports adhesion and corrosion protection, while the polyester finish provides the UV and weathering resistance required for long-term exterior exposure. Film thickness and curing are controlled as a complete coating system rather than by total microns alone.

One Field Cut Can Destroy the Corrosion Protection You Paid For

Late cable or instrument changes can force installers to cut a finished cabinet, exposing untreated metal edges and breaking the factory-applied coating system. In controlled process areas, spark-producing field work may also add additional site procedures.

GX-BOX Solution:Cable entries are transferred to removable, factory-finished gland plates wherever the project layout allows. Revised plates can be manufactured and recoated without cutting the main outdoor control enclosure, preserving both the enclosure body and its controlled corrosion-protection process.

A Weatherproof Cabinet Is Not Automatically Suitable for a Hazardous Area

Oil and gas facilities may include both ordinary industrial locations and classified explosive atmospheres. Weather sealing and corrosion resistance alone do not provide explosion protection

GX-BOX Solution:Area classification is confirmed before enclosure design begins. GX-BOX supplies custom metal enclosures for non-hazardous and unclassified oil and gas locations; projects requiring ATEX, IECEx or other certified explosion-protection systems must use appropriately certified equipment.
